Anderson's Resident Evil: Afterlife, while just this week they premiered their on set footage that features interviews with Milla Jovovich as Alice, Ali Larter as Claire Redfield and Shawn Roberts as super-villain Albert Wesker. It's also briefly mentioned that Afterlife is the first movie to use James Camerson's 3D technology since Avatar. You can watch the video footage below. Resident Evil After Life: Ali Larter Interview.

Last November, I got to visit the set of Resident Evil: Afterlife when the movie was filming in Toronto. I was there with a few other online journalists and we got to watch some filming and also interview the entire cast working that day. Overall it was a great set visit and you can read my report here. Anyway, late in the day we got to sit down with Ali Larter and during the interview we talked about how her character Claire has changed since the last film, filming in 3D, working with the rest of the cast, how she trained, and a lot more. Hit the jump to read or listen to what Ali Larter had to say:

Question: What are some of your more physically challenging scenes in this film and how did you handle them?

Larter: The tunnels is definitely one of them. I think Paul, one of his fantasies was getting us as dirty as humanly possible and putting us in the worst situation ever. So that was a bit of a, it definitely pushed us to our limits. But at the time time, it’s exciting because this movie is his vision and we’re really excited to be a part of that. Whatever he wants, we’re here as the players in his game.

With her husband Paul W.S. Anderson returning to direct — after only writing the previous two sequels — Jovovich admitted to ShockTillYouDrop that living with the writer and director of your movie can have its advantages.

Interview: Ali Larter on Claire Redfield in Resident Evil: Afterlife

When it comes to horror, Ali Larter should learn to never say never. During press for Resident Evil: Extinction, the actress seemed pretty sure that was the last we'd see of Claire Redfield, her zombie-killing counterpart in the franchise based on the Capcom video game. But, Redfield is back and so is Larter for Resident Evil: Afterlife, opening September 10 in 2D and 3D. As part of our on-going set report, here's the chat we had with Larter up in Toronto last year.

Jovovich: 'Filming in 3D was hard'

Milla Jovovich has said that she found filming the latest Resident Evil movie in 3D to be very difficult.

The actress revealed that she struggled to conform to the demands of the new technology.

"I do tend to gesticulate a lot when I talk but you just can't do that when you're shooting in 3-D because every movement is magnified," Jovovich told Contact Music.

"It took a lot of effort for me to keep still. Also, the cameras are so heavy and take so long to set up, there was a lot of waiting around. So it was all very hard for me."

Resident Evil will continue beyond ‘Afterlife’.

With Resident Evil: Afterlife on the way later this year, many are wondering whether or not this fourth film will be the last in its series, not including any reboots. Jeremy Bolt, producing partner with Paul W.S. Anderson, discussed this with Ryan Rotten of ShockTillYouDrop while on the movie’s Toronto set.

Milla Jovovich Interview On The Set Of The Latest Resident Evil: After Life.

Milla Jovovich has been in the acting game for just over twenty years, with a resume that includes such notable films as THE RETURN TO THE BLUE LAGOON, DAZED AND CONFUSED, HE GOT GAME and THE FIFTH ELEMENT. But it's her role as the confidant yet tortured Alice in the RESIDENT EVIL series that has catapulted her to worldwide notoriety - and transformed her from a waifish model to a butt-kicking geek goddess.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jovovich on the Toronto set of RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE, where she proved to be that most pleasant of surprises: a completely humble and friendly celebrity without a hint of ego or superiority. We talked about the challenges of making this new RESIDENT EVIL in 3D, as well as where the series is set to go from here:

'Resident Evil: Afterlife' Set Visit - Ali Larter Interview.

It’s the last day of shooting on Resident Evil: Afterlife, the fourth film in the popular franchise, and actress Ali Larter brought in cupcakes. There were none left for the journalists, but with a grueling shoot in late-fall Toronto and the added complication of still-new 3D technology, the crew deserved every last crumb. We managed to steal a few minutes with the actress to talk about working with the same 3D technology as Avatar and how close Resident Evil: Afterlife mirrors the Resident Evil games, before she dashed back to the warmth of Los Angeles, blonde hair, and her “day job.”
